Care philosophy

Our care philosophy

Four principles shape every consultation, therapy session, and care plan at the centre.

Family-centred, not procedure-centred
Every plan starts with a conversation, not a checklist. We listen to the family's routines, concerns, and goals before recommending care.
Personalized to the child or person
Ayurveda recognizes that two people with the same concern may need different care. Assessment of Prakriti, Agni, and current state etc., guides every plan.
Tradition, with modern responsibility
Classical Ayurvedic practice is delivered alongside evidence-aware therapies (occupational, speech, behavioral and special education). We coordinate with pediatricians and specialists where helpful.
Honest about what care can and cannot do
We do not promise cures, guaranteed outcomes, or replacement of medical treatment. We offer supportive, supervised, and consistent care.

Common questions

About visiting Lifecare.

Practical answers to questions we hear from new families before their first visit.

Is Lifecare a hospital or a speciality centre?

Lifecare is a dedicated Ayurvedic children’s speciality and child development care centre offering consultation-led care for children, mothers, and families. We provide Ayurvedic consultations, developmental therapies, day-care programs, and both in-clinic and residential postnatal care support for mother and baby.

Who consults at the centre?

Care at Lifecare is guided by experienced Ayurvedic physicians with a focus on child health and development, alongside certified speech therapists, occupational therapists, behavioral therapists, special educators, and physiotherapists — working together to support each child with thoughtful, family-centred care

Do you accept insurance?

Most Ayurvedic consultations and therapy sessions are paid directly. Some insurance providers reimburse Ayurvedic care under wellness or alternative therapy benefits — we recommend confirming with your provider before the visit.

What languages is care delivered in?

Care is primarily offered in Malayalam and English, with Hindi support available when needed. Therapy sessions, particularly speech and special education support, are adapted as much as possible to the child’s home language and communication comfort, helping children and families feel more at ease during care.

Do families travel from outside Thodupuzha to visit?

Yes. Families regularly visit Lifecare from across Kerala, other parts of India, and abroad for consultation, therapy, and postnatal care support. Many families travel from Kochi, Kottayam, Pala, Muvattupuzha, Kothamangalam, Munnar, and nearby regions seeking thoughtful, family-centred Ayurvedic care. Whenever possible, appointments and therapy schedules are coordinated to make visits more comfortable for families travelling longer distances.
